Dr. Asha T. Chacko Scientific Officer, Department of Demography, University of Kerala

Dr. Asha T. Chacko is working as Scientific Officer in the Department of Demography, University of Kerala. She is currently serving as the in-charge of work station for research on micro data from Census which is attached to the Department of Demography. She is one of the Editorial Assistants of the Journal 'Janasamkhya' published annually by the department. She has several research papers in National and International Seminars/ Conferences to her credit. She has assisted in completing the Research Projects conducted by Department of Demography and Population Research Centre, University of Kerala. She is a co-author of the book Morbidity in Kerala, Levels, Determinants and Differentials, Serials Publications, New Delhi. She has assisted in conducting Seminars/Conferences/ workshops organized by Department of Demography.

She is currently the Treasurer of the Alumni Association of the Department and is a member of Indian Association for the Study of Population (IASP) and Family Planning Association of India, Thiruvananthapuram Chapter. She also serves as one of the experts in the department of Population Education, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Thiruvananthapuram.
